Just like with the first game, AvP2's most attractive feature is that it finally lets you step into the role of a stalwart Marine, a cunning Predator, and a vicious Alien. Particularly for fans of the movies, graphic novels, and books, this aspect of the game won't disappoint. You play a third of the single player game as each of the races, blasting, stalking, and clawing your way through an interwoven storyline.
Each of the three campaigns' stories are interlaced fairly well, with actions you perform as one race coming back to affect you when you play through as another race. For example, as the Predator you find yourself captured by a science team and trapped in a stasis tube. An Alien rampaging through the complex inadvertently frees you, then goes on its way. Later when you play the Alien missions, you find out that you are that alien. The entire game is full of backtracking and interlacing like this, and it's fun to watch for the references.

The soldier's strengths are strategy, skill, and enough explosives to bring down a mountain. His toolkit includes a welder to cut and seal entryways; a computer for bypassing locked doors; and a trusty shotgun. As the Marine you'll take on Aliens, Predators and a corrupt corporate facility.
With light-bending stealth, this solitary hunter stalks unseen, annihilating foes with its wrist blades, two-handed spear, or plasma blast. As the survivor of a human ambush, the Predator seeks vengeance for his fallen comrades.
The ferocious xenomorph strikes without warning from any direction, killing with its razor sharp tail, claws, or deadly jaws. It will take the cunning and willpower of the entire hive to protect the Alien Empress
